Route 66 Raceway Adds Modifieds to Prairie Dirt Classic.

(Joliet IL) The officials at Route 66 Raceway annonced today, that UMP Modifieds will join the UMP Late-Models on Friday September 3, 1999 for a $1,000 to win special event, coinciding with the Prairie Dirt Classic presented by Chilli Man Chili.

 

"We feel that the modifieds will add to the show, and help put on a great night of racing for the fans. With $1,000 to win, and a good payout, we are looking forward to a great turn-out, and provide us with an excellent support class. " states Larry Decker of Route 66 Raceway.

 

The race will be a support class for the upcoming 1999 Prairie Dirt Classic Weekend, featuring the Chilli Man Chili Prairie Dirt Classic at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet IL on September 3, 1999. This race preceeds the Prairie Dirt Classic by Lynn Chevrolet-Buick Inc. paying $10,000 to win, and $1,000 to start the feature, at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway on September 4, 1999.

 

Route 66 Raceway in Joliet IL, is home to a world class drag racing facility which hosts the FRAM Nationals, amd many other drag racing events,and a 1/2 mile dirt oval suitable for many types of racing.
