Southern All Stars Topless Bandit Series Set For Big Doubleheader Weekend

HUNTSVILLE, AL--The Southern All Stars Topless Bandit will return to the
Penton Raceway in Penton, AL, for a Friday night event August 20th.  The
race will be a 40 lap $2,000 to win event and will be the only time this
year the series will be at the east central Alabama track, then on Saturday
night August 21st the series will move to the Seven Flags Speedway in
Douglasville, GA., for another 40 lap $2,000 to win event.
 John Llewellyn of Knoxville, TN, is the current points leader in the series
as he has a 44 points lead over the second place driver of David Gentry of
Wheel, TN, third place belongs Rainbow City, AL, Freddie Lee as he is only
60 points out of first place.  In the fourth place in points is the
defending SAS Bandit Champion Danny Peoples of Margaret, AL, and fifth
belongs to another former Bandit Champion Rodney Dickson of Fayetteville,
GA.
 Rounding out the top ten in the series points standings is Derrick Rainey
of Powder Springs, GA,  Greg Skinner of Oxford, AL, Mike Head of Ellenwood,
GA, Mark Mears of Decatur, AL, and Jody Coltrane of Canton, GA, all of these
drivers are expected to be in competiton this weekend.
 Other drivers that will probably be in competition this weekend include
Ricky Williams of Fayetteville, GA, Dana Eiland of Phenix City, AL, Terrence
Nowell of Phenix City, AL, Tim Day of Alpharetta, GA, and Joe Armistead Jr
and Sr.
