Thunder Valley Raceway

The Wheeler Trackside Late Models were led onto the track by heat winners Mike Altobelli in the 8O Four Seasons Homes machine and the 48 of Robby Garlock in the #1 Cycle Center ride- Fast paced racing action began with Altobelli leading the first six laps of the 25-lap feature- On lap seven it was the Garlock piloted machine passing Altobelli in slingshot fashion to become the new leader. Action was intense in the field as strong cars jockeyed for position. On lap nine the "Russian Rocket" John Britsky in the 18X passed the 33 of Carl Billet and the 50E of Tom Myers to take over the third scoring spot. As Garlock continued to lead the field, Britsky had his sights on the first position. Britsky continued to move forward by passing the 83R of Scott Rhodes and the 80 of Mike Altobelli. As the field crossed the finish line Robby Garlock took first position and his first win of the season as well as the points lead in the Late Model Division The second position went to John Britsky, third to Mike Altobelli, fourth to Scott Rhodes, and rounding out the top five was Carl Billet.
