ERIEZ SPEEDWAY PLAYS HOST TO FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT
 AND DIVISIONAL RACING BATTLES

Erie. PA - Eriez Speedway hosted Fan Appreciation Night
Sunday with a special appearance by World Champion Monster
     Truck Stone Cold

The event was sponsored by Coor’s Beer and Hutchins
Automotive. Race enthusiasts were treated to giveaways
and some great divisional races with the all important
year end points tally looming in the near future.

The Super Late Model feature could be summed up in two
words. Rick Isadore. Isadore dominated the field
successfully keeping Pat McGuire and Rod Maloy in line
behind him. Bad luck befell Maloy in the third lap
when he hit the wall in turn four. That gave John Lobb
a chance to move into the third spot. McGuire finally
got enough momentum going in the ninth lap to start
pressuring Isadore inside. However, the yellow number
nine car of Isadore was just too much for him. Isadore
took home the checkered flag. McGuire finished second
and Rich Gardner was able to get by Lobb to claim
 third place

Chris Hackett and John Lacki put on Quite a show
in the Limited Late Model feature. The battling duo
swapped some tin, moved inside and outside to gain
the advantage. Hackett eventually was able to keep a
smooth line at the bottom of the track to hold off
the charging Lacki. Lacki gave it everything he
had in the final lap, but it lust wasn’t meant to be.
Hackett took the checkered flag. Lacki finished
second with Pat McGuire moving up to take third place.

Dave Eades got the better of Dan Nocero in the
Budweiser Super Sportsmen feature. Eades passed Nocero in
the second lap and opened up a cushion on the rest of the field.
Randy Parmenter was trying his best to gain on the ever
increasing lead of Eades and Nocero, but
had to settle for
third place. Eades finished first with Nocero coming in Second,

Greg Hoover and Gary Eicher were really dicing it out in the
first Cadet feature. Hoover held, the lead for the first five
laps, but Eicher got around him in turn three of the sixth lap.
Eicher then had to fend off a variety of challengers but never
looked back until he took the Checkered flag. Herm Hilyer
claimed second place With Bryan Emory taking third.

The second Cadet feature saw John Pencille staked to an early
lead
with Chris Withers, Kevin Heslop and Greg Fenno right behind
 him.
Fenno eventually had second place all to himself and was
looking
for an inside line to get by Pencille, He got it in the
10th lap and held his advantage across the finish line. Jeff
 Gunnell.
put some last minute moves on Pencille for second place.
Pencille had to settle for third.

Bryan Emory was able to get the jump on Chad Carlson in the All

Pro Run For The Money. Carlson kept looking for an inside line to
get by the 14E Car. However. Emory wasn’t going to budge an inch.
Emory took the checkered flag With Carlson right behind him.
The weekly five-lap dash features the Cadet feature winner from
 the previous week.

John Wayne exercised a lot of patience and judgment to assume
 the lead in the
first Spectator feature. The caution flag flew five

times before the end of the third lap. When green flag racing was

under way again, Wayne continued his advantage until he crossed

the finish line. Brian Zimmally took second and Mike Munson
 grabbed third.

Aaron Robinson took advantage of his start up front to shoot
to the lead in the second Spectator feature. Robinson’s only
challenger was Ray Churchill in the 71A car. Churchill finally
got a break in turn four in the seventh lap and passed
Robinson to take the lead and the checkered flag. Robinson had
to settle for second place with George Kennerknecht moving up
 through the pack for third.

Mark Grabowski swapped some tin with Aaron Jelley in the sixth
lap of the third Spectator feature to temporarily take the
lead in the eighth lap. However, Jelley and Rick Thompson had
other ideas.
Thompson spun out early in the race, but raced
back through traffic for the Lead and the win. Jelley finished
second with Dave Hess, Jr. coming in third.
