Anderson and Hillard split wins at Farmer City Raceway

(Farmer City IL) Mark Anderson of Lexington IL, took home the feature win Thursday night on the final night of racing at Farmer City Raceway. Anderson, driving the Evans Excavating/Marx Fuel Systems/ Rayburn Direct took the lead from Mike Mullvain on lap 19, and led to the finish, scoring the win. Chasing Anderson were, Mullvain, Steve Hillard, Roger Long, and surprise visitor Terry English. Rounding out the top ten were, Joe Ross Jr., Kevin Weaver, Gary May, Dick Taylor, and Ron Donaldsen.
Steve Hillard of Sadorus IL, continued his hot streak, picking up the King and Queen Racewear Dash, featuring the Dash Winners from the season in a 20 lap shootout, paying $500 to win. Hillard, who put his Budda Enterprises/Tatmans/MasterSbilt on the pole by luck of the draw, pulled away to the win over Mike Mullvain, Joe Harlan, Gary May, and Joe Ross Jr. Rounding out the field were Matt Taylor, Lonnie Franklin Jr., and Erik Kwasigroh.
Fast time of the evening was set by Steve Hillard with a time of 12.858, besting the field of 27 latemodels. The dash was won by Mike Mullvain. Heat Race Winners were, Will Daniels, Richie Hedrick, and Terry English. The Semi-Feature was captured by Matt Taylor, followed by Jeff Thrasher.
In the other divisions, Jeff Leka took the win in the modifieds, and Loren Haberkor took the win in the sportsman.
