Fairbury American Legion SpeedwaySeptember 6, 1999
Fairbury American Legion Speedway Thanks all involved with the 1999 season Media Contact, Darin Stewart... dmsracn@davesworld.net The entire staff of the Fairbury American Legion Speedway would like to send out it’s thanks for all of those who supported another successful season at the 1/3 mile oval. The 53rd year of continuous racing, ended with a record car count for the 10th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Congratulations to Bob Pierce, and his entire team for taking the big win. We would also like to Congratulate all of the teams who made the field, in addition to those who fell short of their goal. This year, as in past years, the fan and driver support has been some of the most devoted anywhere, and we are greatly appreciative of it. From the season opener, through the Lynn-Chevrolet Buick-Schroeder Firestone Summernationals, the Driscoll Motors-Paternoster Ford Shootout, to the ending Prairie Dirt Classic the outpouring of support from fans, drivers, teams, sponsors and everyone else was incredible. New for the 1999 season was a companion event at the Route 66 Raceway, which helped yield the incredible car count for the finale, which went very well also. We are currently planning the 2000 season which promises to be bigger and better than ever. If you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to contact us regarding them. Thanks for a wonderful season. Darin M. Stewart Public Relations Consultant Fairbury American Legion Speedway
