MOTHER NATURE WINS-POINTS END AT DHS

STRONGSTOWN, PA- Mother Nature rained on Dog Hollow Speedway Friday night, and forced another cancellation. With the cancellation, Dog Hollow has ended their regular point season, and now enters their "Month of Specials".

The 1999 point champions are: Chris Harr/Tony Raneri in the late models, Louie Jacoby in the super stocks, Rich Britton in the street stocks, and Steve Diehl in the pure stocks.

The pit area was filling up when the skies opened at Dog Hollow Friday night, and track officials tried to get the track to come back to them, but they were unsuccessful in their attempt. This was to be the final point race in all four divisions. Next SATURDAY, yes, SATURDAY night the late models, super stocks, street stocks, and pure stocks will be joined by the small block modifieds/6 cylinder modifieds. The pit gates will open at 3 main gates at 4 and racing is set for 6 PM. Please note the time and date changes. Also on the schedule is a fireworks display, presented by Starfire, and it is D & D Wood Sales Trophy night.

Some of the other scheduled events during October include: School Bus Races on October 9th, plus a $250 to win $50 to start pure stock special on the 16th the street stocks will go for $700 to win and $75 to start. The super stocks are in the spot light on the 23rd going for $1000 to win and $100 to start, and then on the 30 the late models will run a 40 lap season finale paying $2000 to win at $200 to start, with an Oct. 31 rain date. Each of the above shows will also have regular racing, and a regular show includes the late models, super stocks, street stocks, and pure stocks. All shows begin at 6 PM with gates opening at 3 in the pits and 4 in the stands.
