Thunder Valley RacewayThe Wheeler Trackside Late Models followed the Limited Lates with a start
to finish sweep of laps by the race winner. The field was
brought onto the track by
pole sitter Carl Billet and outside
row one starter D.J. Myers.
Billet pulled out front immediately and continued to lead all 25 circuits on the
half-mile track. Several yellows flew with one involving D.J. Myers and
relegating the front row starter to the pits on lap five.
The “hard charger” of the feature was Les Hare who started in the
twentieth position to finish third. The top five finishers were Billet in first
with is second win this season at TVR followed by Scott Rhodes, Les Hare,
Butch McGill and Robby Garlock. Heat Wills
went to Billet, D.J. Myers, and Rhodes.
