The wheeler Trackside Late Model were 23 strong led by the 50 of Tom Myers and the 2C of Craig Lindsey on row one on the track.The beginning of the race witnessed the 1W of Billy Wampler taking a wild ride and ending up the roof of his car.Wampler was not injured but the car did not fare so well and he was unable to continue. During racing action, the 2C of Lindsey took off at the drop of the green flag and led the first lap, On lap two Myers in the 50E machine assumed the point. As Myers paced the field, battles were taking place in the field with competitive passing. As the field battled, the 48 of Garlock tagged on to the back of Myers for a battle to the finish. As the checkered flag dropped. Meyers was able to hold off Garlock for the win. Meyers posted his fifth win of the 1999 season at Thunder Valley finishing in the 1st position followed by Gariock in 2nd a strong race by the 99 of Rick Singleton finishing 3rd, the 4th finishing position went to the 33 of Carl Billet, and rounding out the top five was the 18X of the Russian Rocket, John Britsky last week’s feature winner. Late Model heat races were won by Tom Myers in the 50E, Craig Lindsey in the 2C and Robby Garlock in the 48.
