TRACK CHAMPIONS READY FOR HOOSIER TIRE RACE OF CHAMPIONS

HAGERSTOWN, MD - More than 20 late model track champions are expected to  compete in the 14th Annual Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Race of Champions at the Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday afternoon, October 23rd. The Race of Champions will highlight the first day of the two-day Turbo-Blue Hub-City National 150 Open.

Sponsored by W&W Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic and Hoosier Tires of Finksburg, MD, the Race of Champions has become an opportunity for the country's best drivers, all champions at their home track, to meet one another and race for one more feature win against the best in the business.

Past winners include Jeff Leiphart, Lynn Geisler, Gary Stuhler, Dave Hoffman, Nathan Durboraw, Davey Johnson, Dick Barton, Scott Cross, Chris Harr, Rodney Franklin and C.S. Fitzgerald.

Some of the track champions who are expected to be part of the two-day festivities include:

In addition to the Race of Champions, Saturday's program will have time trials and qualifying events for the late models and qualifying events for the late model sportsman/open competition semi-lates, pure stocks and 4-cyl pure stocks.

On Sunday afternoon, it will be feature time as all four divisions will have their main events. The Turbo-Blue National 150 Open for the late models will round out the two-day program. Gates will open at 10 A.M. with racing at 1 P.M. for both days.
