Bo Feathers took the lead on lap thirty-one and never relinquished it
on his way to the seventy-two lap Paul Johnson Memorial victory.
Feathers started eleventh but quickly worked his way to the front.
After taking the lead on lap thirty-one it appeared that Feathers would
pull away, however that was not the case.  Early leader Ernie Davis
turned in his best run of the year and after running door to door with
Feathers for many laps had to settle for second.  Feathers recorded win
number four in '99 and picked up more $2600 for his efforts.  Following
Feathers and Davis across the line were Richard Irwin, Andy Anderson,
Bubby Dillman, Tommy Armel, Buck Tomblin, Brad Omps, Ernie Jones and
Charlie Schaeffer.  Heat race winners were Davis, Dillman and D.J.
Myers.  Consolation was won by Brad Omps.
