Two new faces joined a pair multiple winners in Victory Lane Saturday, Aug 21, at Portsmouth Raceway Park .

Kenny Christy won his first A Main of the season .After winning the late model dash, Christy started on the pole and turned back all  challengers to win for the first time this season. The Garrison ,Ky., driver withstood the heat of current late model points leader Craig Leist over the final 23 laps and held a comfortable advantage at the end.

Jim Leeth was the Timberwolf Hardcharger, he started 14th and finished sixth.

Aaro Bapst who entered the race in third in the points, had a  spectacular accident, on the first lap. He spun coming out of turn one. The left side of Bapst’s car was off the ground when Leist slid into it. Bapst’s #43 tipped over on its top. He was not injured.

Other winners were Modifieds- Bob Markins; Strret Stocks- Tim Robinson and Bombers- Bo Cox.
